Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Utility Operator to support the Asphalt Division in Clinton, MD. The role involves operating fuel trucks, servicing heavy equipment, and performing preventive maintenance to keep asphalt operations safe and productive.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of experience with heavy equipment; a CDL Class B with endorsements is required. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment maintenance and diesel mechanics.
• CDL Class B with endorsements; ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy asphalt equipment; strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utility equipment supporting daily asphalt operations.
• Drive and operate a fuel truck with CDL; perform fueling and lubrication.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and basic repairs on heavy equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical issues and assist with repairs.
• Maintain records of fuel usage, inspections, maintenance and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in health and environmental policies.
