Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials, is hiring a Utility Operator to support the Asphalt division in Clinton, MD. You will operate utility equipment and a fuel truck, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with repairs to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires a High school diploma or GED, a CDL Class B with endorsements, and at least 3 years of related experience. We offer strong benefits and opportunities to grow with a nationwide infrastructure leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade program preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment maintenance or diesel operations.
• CDL Class B with endorsements required; ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain utility equipment and vehicles supporting daily asphalt operations.
• Operate a CDL-licensed fuel truck safely to transport and dispense fuel.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on heavy equipment used in asphalt operations.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintain and service asphalt paving equipment; monitor fluid levels, belts, hoses and components.
• Record fuel usage, inspections, maintenance, and repairs accurately.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations; promote health, safety, and environmental policies.
