Zusammenfassung

Waste Management is seeking CDL drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks delivering waste and recyclables to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities. You may drive front, side, or rear-load trucks and perform precise backing maneuvers in urban and suburban environments.

As part of our team, you’ll work safely under DVIR and DOT guidelines, complete end-of-day paperwork, and support route efficiency improvements with Operations Managers.

Qualifikationen

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
• Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
• CDL Class A with an air-brake endorsement or CDL Class B with an air-brake endorsement.

Aufgaben

• Operate vehicle in accordance with WM safety rules and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Report unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Attend and participate in scheduled training programs and meetings.
• Work with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
• Notify Operations Manager of incidents, injuries, or property damage.
• Communicate customer requests to Operations Manager or Dispatch.
• Complete end-of-day documentation and checkout process.
• Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
