Job summary

Waste Management is hiring CDL drivers to operate heavy-duty trucks for residential, commercial, and roll-off pickups. You will transport waste or recyclables to disposal or recycling facilities, with attention to safety and precise backing maneuvers in urban environments.

The role requires CDL A or B, at least 18 years old, English proficiency, and the ability to read and report. Shifts include Monday–Friday starting early, with potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or
• 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Performs pre and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and documents checks.
• Notifies Operations Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions and safety concerns.
• Attends trainings and meetings and supports route efficiencies and best practices.
• Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves customer locations clean and safe.
