Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking an experienced CDL-A driver to transport freight between service centers and customers. You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and manage documentation while supporting sales through customer contact.

The role requires operating tractor-trailers, including doubles where allowed, and meeting DOT regulations. You will receive health and retirement benefits, tuition assistance, and paid time off as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements; HazMat and Tank endorsements preferred.
• MVR must meet hiring standards and regulatory requirements under DOT.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles (and triples where applicable) and/or straight trucks.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies as needed.
• Handle freight with motorized/manual equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope.
• Assist with documentation and reports; comply with regulations.
