Job summary

All-State Career is seeking an experienced instructor to deliver updated instruction and actively engage students across courses. You will manage classroom and lab activities, maintain safety, and support retention efforts through regular communication with students and administration.

You will prepare and deliver lessons, grade assessments within deadlines, and collaborate with department leadership to develop curricula.

Qualifications

• Documented expertise in the academic area as shown by diplomas or transcripts.
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of significant program-related/industry experience for Technical Instructor.
• Appropriate licensure and degree per accreditation and state rules.
• Depending on the program taught, a certificate, diploma or degree at the same level as conferred for the program.
• Post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Team player with initiative, dependability and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Teaches courses as assigned by the Department Chair/DOE/Academic Dean.
• Uses unit and daily lesson plans.
• Maintains laboratory and classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Monitors classroom safety and reports safety concerns.
• Engages in student retention activities and communicates attendance and progress.
• Submits grading and attendance on deadlines.
• Assists in curriculum development and maintenance.
• Resolves student concerns with Department Chair/Director of Education.
• Provides syllabi on the first day of class.
• Maintains accurate attendance and grade records.
• Participates in student activities and service opportunities.
• Performs end-of-term preparation and documentation.
• Attends meetings and incorporates learned concepts into instruction.
