Job summary

160 Driving Academy is the nation’s largest CDL training network with 90+ yards across 32 states, seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer. You’ll teach students from pre-trip inspections through CDL exams, in-yard and on-road, while collaborating with a team of instructors and a Lead Instructor.

You’ll maintain training records, ensure curriculum adherence, and support fellow instructors. Expect a 90-day probation and opportunities for relocation across locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with 24+ months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience (Nevada exception: 5 years).
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening; MVR clean.
• Residence in applying state or relocation planned for relocation.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills using hands-on training in yards.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Maintain training records and document student progress; report incidents promptly.
