Job summary

Southeastern Community College seeks a Workforce Training Navigator to serve as the primary contact for prospective students, employers, and partners seeking workforce training, with a focus on CDL programs. Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years in customer service, student services, workforce development, admissions, advising, or similar roles.
• Experience using computer software and database systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective workforce training students.
• Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information about programs, costs, schedules, and expectations.
• Follow up with prospective students and maintain records of inquiries, communications, and enrollment activities.
• Guide students through enrollment with required forms and documentation.
• Explain program expectations, attendance requirements, and responsibilities.
• Assess enrollment readiness and monitor progress to support enrollment completion.
• Provide guidance on CDL prerequisites, permits, testing, and medical certification requirements.
• Assist students in accessing funding opportunities and financial aid resources.
• Coordinate scheduling, registration, and communications for open enrollment classes.
• Maintain training schedules and assist with class capacity, waitlists, and schedule changes.
• Collect and report data on inquiries, enrollments, referrals, and participation.
• Participate in recruitment events and outreach activities.
• Support continuous improvement of student and employer services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
