Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Swing driver to service customer accounts, haul waste and recycling materials, and operate in multiple driver roles as needed.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, pre/post trip inspections, logging, and clear communication with Dispatch while adhering to DOT/OSHA rules. A valid Class B CDL and DOT medical card are required, with the ability to drive manual transmission.

Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Requires a valid Class B CDL.
• DOT medical card or able to obtain before hire.
• Ability to read/write/speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive the vehicle following safety, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Maintain driver logs and communicate with Dispatch/Route Manager.
• Complete end-of-day checkout and reporting as required.
• Lead driver duties may include coordinating shifts and training other drivers.
