Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems is seeking a Swing driver to service customer accounts and haul waste/recycling materials to disposal sites. This role may function as Container, Commercial, Roll Off or Residential Driver as needed.

Reports to the Operations Supervisor and involves following safety rules, performing vehicle inspections, and coordinating with the Route Manager to improve route efficiency. Equal opportunity employer and safety-focused.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL and be able to drive manual transmission.
• Must pass pre-employment testing including background checks.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• No DUI/OVI within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Able to read and understand safety training and road signs.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments safely and efficiently to avoid damage and accidents.
• Operate vehicle according to safety rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks with DVIR.
• Notify Route Manager of incidents, service interruptions, or safety hazards.
• Lead a team of drivers, coordinate routes, and train new staff.
