Job summary

Lakeshore Waste Services is seeking a Swing driver to service customer accounts and haul waste materials on a daily route. The role includes operating a truck, performing safety inspections, and communicating with Dispatch and Route Manager while maintaining logs and documentation.

The Lead Driver duties may involve coordinating a team of drivers, scheduling route changes, and ensuring policy compliance. Must meet CDL, DOT medical, and English-language requirements.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.
• Ability to drive manual transmission or willingness to learn.
• Must have a valid DOT medical card or obtain prior to hire.
• No DUI/OVI within last 5 years or 2 in last 10 years.
• No license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to communicate.

Responsibilities

• Servicing customer accounts dispatched throughout the day.
• Collects and hauls waste, recycling materials or containers to disposal site.
• Operate vehicle in line with safety, OSHA and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and document checks.
• Maintain driver logs and communicate with Dispatch or Route Manager.
• Lead a team of drivers when directed by management.
