Job summary

Waste Management in Greencastle, IN is seeking a CDL Class B driver to safely operate a heavy-duty truck on swing routes serving residential, commercial, and construction accounts.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, reporting safety issues, and coordinating with Route Managers to improve route efficiency while ensuring customer satisfaction. Safety and compliance are emphasized throughout every shift.

Qualifications

• 2 years operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving experience.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public and complete records.
• CDL-Class B license required; pre-employment screening including drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy-duty truck on swing routes following safety rules.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections and documents DVIR issues.
• Reports unsafe situations to Route Manager and assists on route improvements.
• Communicates customer requests and ensures containers are set upright and clean.
