Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Driver- CDL (B) to operate a collection truck safely on assigned routes in Indiana. You will ensure vehicle safety, comply with regulations, and complete vehicle condition reports daily.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, load refuse, and dispose at facilities, while maintaining professional customer interactions and completing required productivity reports. CDL B with air brakes is required.

Qualifications

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate heavy refuse truck on assigned routes and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or by the dispatcher.
• Read route sheet, follow map, and comply with safety policies while loading refuse, operating the packer, and disposing at the designated facility.
• Maintain courteous interactions with customers and dispatchers, and complete route/productivity sheets and VCRs as required.
• Monitor vehicle condition, adhere to safety standards, and participate in the Company’s safety programs.
