Job summary

QXO is seeking a Shuttle Driver (CDL Class A or B) in Belvidere, IL to safely transport building materials between branches, warehouses, and distribution centers. You will ensure DOT compliance, accurate documentation, and on-time deliveries while upholding safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and able to work independently within a team, with strong communication and a professional attitude toward customers and vendors.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A or B required or able to obtain.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driving record and ability to pass DOT physical.
• Experience with loading/unloading and material handling preferred.
• Team-oriented with safety-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport building materials and inventory between company locations.
• Complete assigned shuttle routes on schedule and verify deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip, en‑route, and post-trip inspections; maintain logs and documentation.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials using proper equipment.
• Assist warehouse and yard teams with material movement and staging.
• Support continuous improvement to increase transportation efficiency.
