Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record, strict adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with background checks, MVR, and FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.

Endorsements for CDL with passenger and School Bus are preferred. Candidates must be 21–80 years old and ready to complete required training and drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement (P) required
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years
• Background check and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification required
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents)
• Age 21–80 with annual CDL documentation for drivers over 75

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws and drive defensively
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections and refueling as needed
• Create a safe environment for students and assist with entering/exiting the vehicle
• Complete required LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom activities when agreed
