Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a CDL bus driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for public school students to and from the LifeWise site. The ideal candidate is responsible, punctual and maintains a clean driving record.

This role requires a CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean five-year driving history, and successful completion of background checks, MVR review, and drug testing. You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, ensure safety, and supervise students during loading

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement (P) required
• School bus (S) endorsement preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in the last 5 years
• Background check through LifeWise Academy
• MVR review and FMCSA Clearinghouse clearance required
• Drug/alcohol testing per pre-employment, annual randoms, and post-accidents
• Yearly Physician's Statement for known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children, enforcing rules
• Complete LifeWise Academy training and participate in classroom volunteering if arranged
