Qualifications

• CDL license required and must have held license for past three years.
• Age between 21 and 80; annual CDL license submission if over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last five years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy.
• MVR and FMCSA Clearinghouse check required.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-incident).
• Medical statements required for drivers with known conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus.
• Perform regular inspections of the bus.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules and assist students entering/exiting.
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor; monitor student behavior.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
