Job summary

Joliet Disposal & Recycling LLC seeks a CDL driver to operate heavy-duty trucks, load and transport containers to disposal sites and customer locations. The role requires precise backing maneuvers, adherence to safety standards, and seamless communication with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections, reporting issues, and maintaining daily route records while working a part-time schedule with mornings.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing in English; verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to read maps and navigation systems.
• 3 years CDL driving experience within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in a safe manner per OSHA, DOT and laws.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment.
• Reports unsafe situations to Manager or Dispatch.
• Attends required training programs and meetings.
• Collaborates with Site Manager, Dispatcher and Sales to improve route efficiency.
• Notifies Site Manager of incidents, service interruptions or hazards.
• Notifies of customer requests to Site Manager or Dispatch.
• Completes end-of-day documentation and checkout process.
