Role Description

The CDL Roll-Off Driver is a full-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, FL. This role is responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to deliver, pick up, and transport dumpsters to and from construction, residential, and commercial jobsites. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting vehicles, securing loads, maneuvering trucks in tight jobsite conditions, and unloading dumpsters in designated areas while following company procedures and customer requirements. The driver will complete required documentation, maintain compliance with DOT and company safety standards, and communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely, accurate service. The role may also involve basic equipment checks, reporting maintenance needs, and supporting a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles
• Proficiency in truck driving and safe operation of roll-off trucks, including backing, maneuvering, and securing loads
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and adherence to all federal, state, and local transportation and safety requirements
• Ability to perform unloading tasks safely, including positioning dumpsters, operating hydraulic controls, and checking load stability
• Strong awareness of jobsite safety, including navigating construction environments and following site protocols
• Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or repair needs promptly
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work full-time schedules with occasional overtime as needed
• Effective communication skills and a professional approach when interacting with customers, dispatch, and team members
• Physical ability to sit for extended periods, climb in and out of trucks, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Previous experience in waste management, construction hauling, or roll-off operations is preferred but not required
