Job summary

Waste Pro USA in Blytheville, AR seeks a Route Driver to operate various refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned routes, assist on routes, and perform pre-trip and post-trip truck checks. You will also handle routine loading, disposal at landfills, and provide courteous service to customers.

Requirements include a valid Class A or B CDL, at least 21 years old, two years of waste-driving experience in the last seven years, and the ability to meet DOT and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state where the position works.
• Requires 2 years of waste industry driving experience within the past 7 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Understand refuse collection policies and DOT/state requirements for operators of commercial vehicles.
• Normal hearing and vision, with or without correction.
• Ability to operate various refuse trucks and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives truck on pre-established routes and collects/dumps garbage or recyclables.
• Provides courteous and expeditious customer service to public and customers.
• Ensures proper pickup and transfer of waste; may use back door.
• Answers questions for residents and directs them to Customer Service or authorities.
• Performs daily Pre- and Post-Trip inspections and safety checks.
• Maintains clean truck; washes exterior and inspects under hood and tires.
• Performs manual duties in cleanup of scattered refuse and assists on routes.
• Prepares and submits required reports and documents.
• May assist other routes or participate in community events or bin deliveries.
• Responsible for all persons working on vehicle during route; complies with DOT/state requirements.
