Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Medora, IN is seeking a Rear Load Truck Driver to service trash and recycling routes with safety and customer service at the forefront. This role requires a valid Class B CDL, DOT Medical Card, and the ability to work nights and weekends as needed. You will inspect, load, and operate a rear-load truck, maintain logs, and interact professionally with customers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and understand a map.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to drive while pulling a trailer.
• Must read and speak English well enough to communicate and understand safety training and road signs.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers in a safe and compliant way.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck to complete routes.
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or buildings as needed.
• Replace receptacles at curb or designated areas and maintain cleanliness of truck and cab.
• Complete logs and pre-/post-trip inspections and update route logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and provide quality service.
• Operate other trucks as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
