Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is hiring a Residential Rear Load Driver in Carrollton, TX. The role involves serving customers with trash/recycling collection, operating various truck types, and following safety and route procedures.

You will perform pre/post trip inspections, maintain logs, and provide excellent customer service. Applicants must have a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card, be at least 19 years old, and able to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route.
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs.
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab.
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
