Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Wellston, OH is hiring a Residential Rear Load Driver to service customers with waste and recycling collection. You will operate various trucks and follow routes, ensuring safe loading and transport to disposal or recycling sites.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Class B CDL, can read maps, and communicate effectively with customers. This on-site role requires physical work, exposure to outdoor conditions, and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers.
• Must have a valid Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-500 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• May be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
