Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Greenville, TX is seeking Transportation Maintenance Tech I or II to support highway maintenance and related duties in Hunt County. The program includes CDL training with $0 upfront cost, with full salary during training and lodging/Per Diem as needed.

Position level depends on experience and qualifications; base salary ranges from $44,000 to $64,469 yearly. Schedule is weekdays, onsite with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Some knowledge of transportation engineering support and maintenance work.
• Some skill in using computers and applicable programs.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Coordinating labor, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in identifying, repairing and installing signs, delineators, mailbox posts and related items.
• Assists with traffic control and setting up devices.
• Maintains highways and rights-of-way and performs roadway repairs.
• Operates light equipment and performs PMI and minor repairs on equipment.
• Inspects and maintains contract construction methods for compliance.
