Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver Trainee in the United States for a structured CDL training pathway. Trainees will complete classroom and on-road components, including the loan of a truck, to prepare for the CDL examination.

After obtaining a CDL, you will transition to a Driver role within one of our business lines, serving customers along designated routes. The program emphasizes safety, vehicle inspections, and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Complete Republic Services CDL training program including classroom and on-road training.

Responsibilities

• Complete twelve months of employment after obtaining a CDL.
• Learn to perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Learn to operate a heavy/ commercial truck on assigned routes and serve customers.
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
• After CDL, assume Driver duties in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off lines.
