Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Driver Trainee in the United States to enroll in a comprehensive CDL training program and advance to a fully qualified Driver across Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Roll-Off lines.

Participants will complete classroom and on-road instruction, learn rigorous safety procedures, and gain the experience necessary to take the CDL examination. The program emphasizes hands-on training, route familiarity, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• No prohibitions to acquiring a commercial drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

• Complete CDL training program including classroom and on-road instruction.
• Pass CDL exam and transition to Driver after training.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate heavy trucks on designated routes to service customers.
• Follow safety policies and report issues.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and cleanliness.
• After CDL, perform Driver duties in various lines of business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
