Job summary

Wind River Environmental is seeking a Pump Technician in Columbia, SC. The role involves residential and commercial pumping and disposal of non-hazardous waste, operating a service truck, and pumping septic tanks. The position includes day shifts and requires a CDL with tanker endorsement if requested.

The base pay range is $26.00–$29.00 hourly, with compensation determined by location, education, experience and skills. Benefits and room for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL Class A or B with tanker endorsement if requested.
• Ability to drive manual transmission.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules per WRE and DOT requirements.
• Prepare truck and tools for each service job and perform pre/post-trip maintenance.
• Provide courteous on-site customer service to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify and note issues on work orders and recommend maintenance.
• Submit quotes and service paperwork promptly when required.
• Respond to emergencies and advise on maintenance frequency.
• Follow Wind River Environmental service protocols.
