Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a qualified professional to serve as Program Director for the Commercial Truck Driving (CDL) program. The director will provide leadership for classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel training, ensure program compliance and student success, and maintain strong industry relations.

This is a full-time/exempt role based in Columbus, GA, with potential for travel and off-campus teaching as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective classroom, range, and behind-the-wheel instruction in CDL operations.
• Lead program faculty and coordinate teaching schedules.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FMCSA and DDS CDL requirements.
• Develop instructional materials and align with curriculum standards.
• Coordinate faculty recruitment and hiring with Academic Affairs and HR.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and grading.
• Engage with employers and industry partners to align workforce outcomes.
