Job summary

Jobtailor in Media, PA is seeking an experienced CDL Driver Trainer to lead academic instruction and faculty development within a post-secondary program. You will supervise faculty, mentor new Driver Trainers, and ensure compliance with FMCSA and state standards while advancing student retention.

The role requires 3 years of post-secondary instructional experience, 5 years in the field, 2 years in management, and strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment.
• 5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction.
• 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.
• Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge regarding faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.
• Motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Knowledge of the federal FMCSA and state Department of Motor Vehicle standards.

Responsibilities

• Provides Services to Students.
• Provides academic advising as needed to students.
• Leads student retention initiatives for students in the program who experience barriers to success.
• Oversees Faculty Performance and Development.
• Assists the Area Manager/Regional Program Director in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of faculty.
• Observes classes within the program area and coaches Driver Trainers to improve instructional presentation.
• Documents all meetings and maintains records of interactions.
• Promotes faculty participation and professional development activities.
