Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a CDL Program Leader responsible for directing the CDL program, curriculum development, and instructor oversight. You will train the Account management group on CDL content and participate in new student orientation, while hiring and evaluating Driver Trainers to ensure program success.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in adult learning, FMCSA standards, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL License required.
• 3 years of academic instruction experience in a post-secondary environment.
• 5 years of industry experience in instruction.
• 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Ability to qualify as CDL Driver/Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge of faculty development, reporting, and delivery methods.
• Motivation, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Ability to work with adult learners and align with the school’s mission.
• Ability to inspire students to meet employer expectations.
• Knowledge of FMCSA and state DMV standards.
• Understanding of industry standards and curriculum facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direction for the CDL Program.
• Participate in curriculum development, revision, and implementation.
• Provide product knowledge training to Account management.
• Participate in new student orientation.
• Hire, develop, and evaluate Driver Trainers.
• Convene regular meetings with faculty.
• Analyze student population data and identify at-risk students.
• Monitor and support the student population.
