Job summary

Ancora Education seeks an experienced CDL Program Director to lead Glen Oaks Community College's CDL program. You will oversee curriculum development, faculty hiring and evaluation, and student advising, ensuring program quality and compliance with accreditation standards.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will manage driver trainers, coordinate new curriculum implementation, and participate in program budget planning and student services to promote student success and retention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class A license with at least 3 years driving experience.
• Industry certification in instructional field or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to certification.
• 5 years of industry experience in instructional field.
• 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of federal FMCSA and state DOT standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDL program and provide leadership for curriculum development and implementation.
• Hire, orient, and evaluate Driver Trainers; monitor program quality and retention.
• Advise students, support tutoring and referrals, and monitor attendance.
• Develop master schedule, course sequencing, and faculty teaching assignments.
• Lead faculty development, performance reviews, and weekly faculty meetings.
• Collaborate with Home Office and Account management to recruit students and improve program outcomes.
