Job summary

Ancora Education seeks a CDL Program Director reporting to the Area Manager/Regional Program Director to lead the CDL program, oversee curriculum development, and provide SME training to the Account management group. This role hires, orients, develops, evaluates, and recognizes Driver Trainers within the program(s) of study, and convenes regular faculty meetings.

The CDL Program Director also monitors student populations, advises students during provisional periods, and engages with at-risk

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Industry certification in the field of instruction, or knowledge equivalent to certification.
• 3 years of academic instruction in a post-secondary environment.
• 5 years of industry experience in instruction.
• 2 years in a management/supervisory role.
• Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer.
• Knowledge of faculty development, including requirements, delivery methods, and reporting.
• Motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
• Sensitivity to adult learners' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for the CDL program and recruits, orients, mentors, and evaluates Driver Trainers.
• Leads development and revision of curriculum and participates in program assessment and improvement.
• Oversees faculty performance and development, conducts regular faculty meetings, and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Advises students and assists with advising during provisional periods and career questions.
• Maintains regular office hours and collaborates with staff to support student success.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Industry certification in the field of instruction

3 years of experience in academic instruction in a post-secondary environment

5 years of industry experience in the field of instruction

2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role

Ability to qualify as a CDL Driver /Driver Trainer

Knowledge regarding faculty development

Motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for teaching

Ability to show sensitivity to the needs and requirements of adult learners
