Qualifications

Completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program or CDL Training School.
Active Pennsylvania Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Restriction removed (L) and E restriction removed; Tank Vehicle Endorsement (N) during probation.
Medical Examiner’s Certificate required under FMCSA regulations.
Active DOT equipment certifications required during probation.
Possess active CDL and related endorsements.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy trucks and loaders for highway and bridge maintenance.
Perform snow operations with plow attachments and other equipment.
Flagging and traffic control in work zones.
Maintenance tasks: clean culverts, cut brush, install signs, repair guiderails and barriers.
Complete field adjustments and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
