Job summary

Keeneland is hiring a Lumber Associate/CDL Driver in Lexington, KY to safely operate delivery trucks, load and unload lumber, and support yard maintenance. You will assist customers, maintain inventory, and ensure safety compliance across yard operations.

This full-time, hourly role requires a CDL with a clean driving record, physical stamina for material handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at Keeneland's Thoroughbred Center.

Qualifications

• Previous lumberyard or warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy materials.
• Horse racing authority license required for track workers.
• Valid CDL with clean driving record and safe operation of large delivery trucks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery trucks (CDL-required) to transport lumber and building materials to customer locations.
• Load, secure, and unload deliveries following safety guidelines and maintain product quality.
• Assist customers with loading materials and advise on product selection.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumberyard through regular upkeep.
• Perform vehicle and yard equipment maintenance to ensure safety and functionality.
• Help manage inventory and report stock discrepancies promptly.
• Adhere to safety policies and transportation regulations while working in yard and on the road.
• Assist with unloading shipments and proper storage of materials.
