Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a CDL Class A driver to safely operate heavy-duty trucks, load and unload, perform inspections, and ensure DOT compliance while delivering to designated farms.

You will maintain ELD records, pass required pre-employment screenings, and join a team with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekend work, plus benefits after 60 days. The base hourly rate is $20.04.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Deep knowledge of DOT cargo securement regulations (chains, binders, and straps).
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs., climb onto trailers, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Safely operate commercial vehicles, including heavy-duty trucks, in compliance with laws.
• Loading & Unloading: Drive or guide forklifts onto and off trailers safely.
• Load Securement: Ensure equipment is properly chained, strapped, bound and balanced according to DOT guidelines.
• Route Planning & Compliance: Plan efficient routes and navigate to designated farms.
• Equipment Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects immediately.
• Documentation & Logs: Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
