Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a CDL A driver to operate heavy-duty trucks and equipment in Texas. The role includes loading/unloading, cargo securement, route planning, and strict adherence to DOT and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Proficiency in operating loaders and CMV; knowledge of DOT cargo securement regulations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles per laws and company policies.
• Load/unload and guide forklifts safely onto/off trailers.
• Ensure cargo is properly chained, strapped and balanced per DOT guidelines.
• Plan efficient routes and navigate to designated farms.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR) and report mechanical issues.
• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
