Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a professional truck driver in Tenaha, Texas to safely operate heavy-duty vehicles, load and unload, and ensure cargo is secured per DOT guidelines. This full-time role requires a valid Class A CDL and at least one year of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• Proficient in operating loaders and CMV; knowledge of DOT cargo securement rules.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles including heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Load and unload; guide forklifts onto/off trailers safely.
• Secure loads per DOT guidelines using chains, binders, and straps.
• Plan routes and navigate to designated farms.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects.
• Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records.
