Job summary

Ross Education Holdings Inc. (Tri Area Trucking School) is hiring a CDL Truck Instructor for the Kalamazoo campus. This is a full-time, in-person role, Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30. Start date is as soon as 3–4 weeks, with a fixed schedule and no road expenses. You will teach new drivers using an established Ross curriculum to help them hit the road.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent truck driving experience.
• Valid CDL A license with no restrictions.
• Michigan Driving Instructor License (required) or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Teach new drivers using the Ross curriculum in a classroom, on a lot, and on the road.
• Deliver lessons in person at the Kalamazoo campus with a set schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience
• Valid CDL A - no restrictions Driver’s License
• Current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card
• Must be able to obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather, with extended periods of time standing and sitting
• Must be able to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform all driving related duties
• Must have patience, flexibility and a willingness to learn
• Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.
