Job summary

Ross Education Holdings, Inc. is seeking a CDL Truck Instructor for Kalamazoo, MI. This in-person, full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with an immediate start in 3–4 weeks.

You will teach new drivers using an existing program and schedule, with home time and no road expenses. The position offers benefits, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k), PTO, health/dental/vision coverage, and an employee referral program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent truck driving experience.
• Valid CDL A license with no restrictions.
• Current Michigan CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card.
• Must obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License.
• Indoors and outdoors in all weather, with time standing/sitting.
• Must be able to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform driving duties.
• Demonstrates patience, flexibility and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain student records using current technology.
• Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings.
• Knowledge of Ross curriculum and ability to teach accordingly.
• Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.

CDL Inst QualificationsRequirements:

• 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience
• Valid CDL A - no restrictions Driver’s License

• Must be able to obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather, with extended periods of time standing and sitting
• Must be able to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform all driving related duties
• Must have patience, flexibility and a willingness to learn
• Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.
