Job summary

Ross Education's Tri Area Trucking School in Monroe, MI seeks a CDL A Truck Instructor for an in-person, full-time role.

You'll teach new drivers using the existing Ross curriculum, conduct sessions on classroom, lot, and road environments, and maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Training starts in 1–3 weeks, with a home-based schedule and no separate lesson-planning requirements.

Qualifications

• 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with no restrictions; must be able to drive a manual truck.
• Current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card.
• Must be able to obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License.

Responsibilities

• Set a fixed schedule; you are home and no road expenses.

CDL Inst QualificationsRequirements

• 2 years or more of recent truck driving experience
• Valid CDL A - no restrictions - must be able to drive a manual truck
• Current CDL DOT Medical Wallet Card
• Must be able to obtain a state of Michigan Driving Instructor License
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, in all weather, withextended periods of time standing and sitting
• Must be able to get in and out of Semi-Tractor/Trailers and perform all driving related duties
• Must have patience, flexibility and a willingness to learn
• Sufficient ability to stand for extended periods of time, move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation.
