Job summary

GFL is hiring a Front-End Driver to service multiple residential and commercial routes, removing and transporting waste or recyclables under customer contracts. The role involves daily route execution, loading, unloading, and maintaining safety and compliance while interacting with customers.

Applicants should hold a valid CDL (or CDL school certificate) with at least one year of driving experience and the ability to meet safety-sensitive requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions according to company standards.
• Ability to operate a Front-End truck and follow route assignments safely.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks on designated routes to collect waste and recyclables.
• Open containers, dump into posting facilities, and secure loads.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public along routes.
• Maintain logs, route productivity sheets, and vehicle condition reports.
• Navigate using maps and GPS, and back up safely in tight spaces.
• Adhere to safety standards, lockout/tagout, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
