Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a commercial driver to operate frontload and ancillary waste collection equipment on designated routes. You will open containers, dump loads, and interact with customers while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires at least one year of truck driving experience or a CDL school certificate, with daily vehicle inspections and route logging. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor conditions is needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety sensitive functions criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and dump into trucks.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers along the route and notify supervision of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness at customer sites and around the truck after dumping.
