Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a truck driver to operate frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes, collecting solid waste and delivering to post-collection facilities.

A CDL or CDL school certificate is required, with at least one year of driving experience preferred. You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, interact with customers on routes, and maintain logs and daily productivity sheets.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Must be able to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive frontload or ancillary truck along routes to collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans; roll 3-4 yard cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition report.
• Courteously interact with customers along the route and report issues to supervisor.
• Clean loose trash around truck and container after dumping to maintain site safety.
• Maintain logbooks and route productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
• Maneuver truck into/out of tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety practices including lock out/tag out procedures.
• Monitor debris and ensure load is secured; inspect site before/after dumping.
• Follow all safety policies and perform other duties as assigned.
