Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks servicing multiple commercial and multi-family routes, collecting waste and recyclables per customer contracts.

The role involves route-based service, loading, and transfer to appropriate facilities. Requirements include a valid CDL, at least one year of commercial truck driving experience or CDL school, and ability to perform pre/post-trip inspections.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-load or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans. Roll 3-4 yard cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition report.
• Interact courteously with customers along the route and notify supervisor of issues.
• Clean loose trash around truck and container to maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain and submit a logbook, daily route productivity sheet, and post-trip inspection sheet.
• Back up with mirrors and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety standards and company policies; comply with safety rules at all times.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
