Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a Route Driver in Wisconsin to operate waste collection vehicles on assigned routes. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, report issues promptly, and maintain accurate service records. The role requires a CDL, good driving skills, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the truck and its components and basic maintenance requirements for safe operation.
• Ability to control operations of equipment; back up using mirrors and maintain safe distances.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend associated documents.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types with both automatic and standard transmission and collect solid waste, yard waste and/or recyclables on a collection route.
• Complete safety inspections and reports; daily truck report and route sheets as requested by supervisor.
• Communicate mechanical problems to mechanic and supervisor immediately.
• Follow safety standards and company policies at all times.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Manage assigned Helper(s) if applicable.
• Maintain records of services performed.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
