Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division is seeking a CDL driver for route-based solid waste collection across designated areas in Michigan. The role involves operating frontload and ancillary equipment, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety on roads and customer sites.

Responsibilities include interacting with customers, maintaining logs and vehicle condition reports, and complying with all safety standards.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Ability to operate a truck and dump equipment safely.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Drive frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures or gates and position cans for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness around the truck and dumping area.
• Document logs, route productivity sheets, and post-trip inspections as required.
• Back up using mirrors and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and comply with all applicable rules.
• Meet safety standards and perform other duties as assigned.
