Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to service multiple customers on designated routes, collecting waste and recyclables. The role involves safe operation of front-end trucks, route navigation, and daily inspections.

Ideal candidates will have a CDL and at least one year of driving experience or completion of CDL school. This position is on-site and involves interaction with customers along busy routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive and operate the truck.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures, position cans for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and report vehicle condition.
• Interact courteously with customers and report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness around truck and site.
• Maintain and submit route logs and vehicle reports as required.
• Back up and maneuver in tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow all safety standards and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
