Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks on multi-family and commercial routes, removing waste or recyclables per contracts.

You will service multiple customers daily, transfer loads to transfer stations, landfills, or drop-off sites, and maintain safety and logs. The role requires a CDL, at least one year of truck driving experience or CDL school, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid CDL.
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Must demonstrate ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and dump as required.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports.
• Courteously interact with customers; notify supervisor of issues needing action.
• Maintain and clean work site and truck area; keep surroundings safe and tidy.
• Maintain logs, daily route/productivity sheets, and post-trip inspection forms.
• Maneuver truck into/out of tight spaces using mirrors and back-up techniques.
• Use GPS and maps to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety standards and company policies; assist with additional duties as needed.
