Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL-qualified truck driver to operate frontload and ancillary routes, collecting solid waste and delivering to post-collection facilities.

You will perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs, and interact with customers along the route in a safety-conscious manner. The role requires the ability to maneuver the truck, use GPS/maps for addresses, and adhere to all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.

Responsibilities

• Drive frontload or ancillary routes to collect solid waste.
• Operate doors, access cans, and dump 3-4 yard cans.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and reports.
• Interact politely with customers and report issues.
• Keep area clean around truck and dump site.
• Maintain and submit logs, route sheets, and post-trip reports.
• Maneuver truck in tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use maps and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety procedures and lock-out/tag-out rules.
• Monitor for debris and ensure safe dumping operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
