Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Dump Truck Driver to safely operate a dump truck with or without a trailer at assigned locations and deliver material to landfills. Responsibilities include driving, securing loads, performing pre/post inspections, and maintaining records while adhering to safety standards.

Required are a CDL Class B license, high school diploma/GED, and 1 year driving experience. The role may require overtime and involves outdoor work in varying conditions beside customer

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Minimum 1 year driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dump truck and on-board hydraulic systems.
• Ensure each load is secure by checking tarps are closed and no loose material is visible.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, route sheets, and other documentation.
• Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to a mechanic and supervisor immediately.
• Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management.
• Follow safety standards and company rules on safety and vehicle operation.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
• May be required to work overtime.
